About this time most of us talk about changing from our summer outfits and looking to our autumn and winter wardrobe but accessories don’t tend to feature much in the chat. How do you stay on trend and transition through the seasons, without breaking the bank on a one hit wonder?

Tweeds are firmly in the autumn/winter wardrobe. Check! But if you can’t bear to wear the woven fabrics, look to your bag to do the heavy lifting. Thank you Vivienne Westwood (of course) for the Shuka crossbody, £200, that can be carried as a clutch.

I’m not a fan of chain strap bags that don’t have a fabric insert for the shoulder section. However, there is one that I forgive, and that is the Micro Lottie by Aspinal of London. This small shoulder or crossbody bag, featuring a small croc print, has a leather-plaited metal chain shoulder strap, which softens the chain, if wearing the bag all day. And if you are looking for a colour to accent your silks, purple works most times.

    1. Hi there, what would you like an answer on, quality from China or what bag to wear with your dress style? If it’s a formal dress, worn for an evening event you can’t beat a clutch. This season go oversize. If your dress is one colour go for a pattern on the bag.

    1. Depends what fashion week you are going to? What season is bro g showcased? If it’s SS19 you will need a bright colour bag to give a one colour dress some pop and your outfit some extra freshness.
