Will 2018 beat the brilliant bags of 2017?

As we wave goodbye to 2017 with 5 days to go to 2018, here’s the rundown of some of the best designer bags discovered on instagram this year.  If you have any of these in your possession you are lucky indeed as they will work with some of the spring/summer 2018 trends!  If you are sitting comfortably…in at…

Number 08: Soft hues and pastels

Manu Atelier – micro pristine bag.  Tl180 – panier bag.  Ferragamo – gancini flap bag.

Look out for ice cream colour pastels in 2018.

Number 07: Embellishments

Owen Barry – iggy fringe.  Azzedine Alaïa – fringe. From St Xavier – camden crossbody.

Fringes and sequins are hot for 2018.

Number 06: Bright and bold colours

PB0110 – AB 38 in colour. Little Liffner – tiny box. Lost Property of London – arlington.

Mix 3 primary colours in one outfit next year.

Number 05: Natural tan and brown bags

Loewe – woven bag.  Tods wave bag and Tods sella Bag on location in a mini Siena.

Pair a spring trench coat with a natural tan or brown bag.

Number 04: Double trouble

Michino Paris – clutch and handbag.  Alfie Douglas – mini zipper and tapered tote. Kate Sheridan crossbody bags.

On the catwalk many designers featured models wearing not one but two bags!

Number 03: Multi tone handbags

Coccinelle – patchwork.  Delvaux – brilliant magic.  Aspinal of London – saddle bags.

Look out for patchwork multi colour bags in 2018.

Number 02: Branded buckles

Valextra – ‘toothpaste’ clip.  Fendi – hello to the ‘F’ in a circle.  Marc Jacobs ‘double J’ logo.

Will there be any brands redesigning their logos in 2018?

Number 01: Top handle bags

Strathberry – loved by Meghan Markle.  Proenza Schouler – bold stitching.  Sophie Hulme – oversize chain top handle bag.

When wearing a pencil skirt pair with a well structured top handle bag.

The above is a shortlist of the many designers that have wowed us on instagram.  I don’t know if they are the designer’s best selling bags or the ones most liked on instagram in 2017.  However, these designers have caught the eye and have us thinking about spring and summer 2018 handbag collections already.

Thank you to all of the above for the inspiration.  Here’s to 2018!  Which trend will you embrace?
