Pink bag fashion for spring and summer

Up here in the northern hemisphere, I’m seeing more and more pink appearing in the stores for this spring and summer. The good news, is you don’t need to channel your inner Naomi Campell as seen at the Versace S’22 runway show, looking fabulous in a pink trouser suit, to channel your inner fashionista. This much pink up top and below the waistline may not be the preferred choice for everyone. The alternative is to grab a pink bag and still look pretty and on-trend this year. What has the start of this year served up in the fashion feeds on Instagram? Has your feed been full of designers getting ready for the new Chinese lunar year? As we’ve stepped into February, Happy Chinese New Year or Gong Xi Fa Cai/Kung Hei Fat Choi for those of you who speak Mandarin and Cantonese. Be warned, this round-up of the bag fashion from the ‘gram spotlights the bags that are free of tiger embellishments. Whilst it was tough to ignore the eyes of the tigers, I still hope you like the edit. Pretty in pastels on insta this month.

It’s not a surprise for fashion in pastels to appear in spring/summer. Last year we saw the resurgence of lilac accessories. Good news, this year, any hue of pastel will be on trend, as long as you co-ordinate with your outfit. Walk this way! Crossbody bags this way…

Budget and designer crossbody bags for SS'20

Right now, with differing levels of lock down, there’s one thing that we are being asked to do, to keep safe and well, is use our one outdoor visit to go for a walk.  The ideal companion is the crossbody bag for the phone, card wallet, keys and the essential packet of tissues.
