London’s calling all bag lovers

If you’re thinking of visiting London in 2020, a stop in South Kensington, to the V&A museum, should be high on the list. This wonderfully fashion centric destination will be home to 300 items curated for a show, Bags: Inside & Out. From all sizes of items in which we carry our belongings, expect to see the original Fendi baguette, a Fabergé egg bag by New York’s Judith Leiber to Marc Jacobs one-off for Louis Vuitton. Whilst we wait for the doors to swing open to this exhibition in April, let’s think about what bag will be ideal for a city break. Yes, the crossbody is the bag that lets you be hands-free as you roam. Here are the 10 crossbody bags that will work well with London’s vibrant scene.

One of the best streets in London for bags

And no, I don’t mean Oxford Street and its mile long strip of shops catering for all budgets. Nor do I mean the designer handbag shops on Bond Street, be it on both it’s New and Old ends! It’s a man’s world, it would mean nothing without these! The gift guide for men.

Maybe a bold headline but one that takes inspiration from a great performer playing in the background as I type – James Brown.  Now he was a man who wasn’t afraid of styling and in my defence, men tend to need a bit of help with their bag styling.  If you have a man in your life who needs a new bag, here are the styles and choices that are in demand.

The font of all knowledge – the logo bag

For the last couple of seasons designer brands have become much more noticeable on the side of their handbag collections.  Luxury brands, once the prevailers of minimalist logos, in keeping with the mantra less is more, the more being reflected in the quality of materials, workmanship and the price tag, are now becoming bolder than ever. And not just in the women’s collection – the men can share in the font action too. Continue reading “The font of all knowledge – the logo bag”
