Something for the weekend – to embellish or not to embellish?

Inspiration on instagram is becoming more and more difficult to find with the increasing number of sponsored posts and fashion labels filling their feed with spring fashion that isn’t available to buy just yet.  However, have I got a ‘Sunday Special’ for you – I’ve navigated the feeds and have spotted a bag trend that will rock this winter and help you move into Spring and Summer effortlessly.  How about that for a heads up!

The embellishment is the croc effect finish and there are plenty of on trend shapes and sizes, from clutches to shoulder bags AND the good news is, you won’t have to default winter brown shades.  This collection will accent year round wardrobe styles.  The effect helps keep a bag’s structure for longer which means it’s an investment buy!

Check out these 10 brands for your next investment bag that comes with a premium look and feel:

1  From Brit-Stitch, this family leather company based in hills of Wales has the history and craftmanship to produce a well crafted bag.  The Brit-Luxe shoulder bag is no exception, with the croc effect in green.

2  Straight from Massachusetts, USA, Brahmin has always been the ‘go to brand’ for different textures and embellishments.  I’m not a fan of bucket bags (takes me ages to find anything in them) but I know they are popular and this green one will make any day at the office feel sophisticated.

From Amishi in London, is a luxury accessories brand known for jewellery and scarves, not just handbags.  The two tone handbag will catch the eye.  Their stock levels vary regularly so do get in contact with brand in Mayfair.

Below is a photo that I took this week when I popped into the UK retailer Jigsaw.  They have the croc effect on ankle boots and handbags.  These two shoulder bags were difficult to choose between.  I opted for the smaller camera box bag.  Love it for my casual days around town.

There you have it, the designers who are rocking the croc effect; with brands from across Europe and The States; as north as Sweden, west to the USA, here in the UK and south to Italy.  This premium embellishment will definitely give your bag a longer shelf life, more wears per purchase, and there’s your investment.
