‘Tis the season to brace oneself for the upcoming weddings on the horizon and the mandatory hit the bank balance will get. I’ve sourced three outfits which I’m going to invest in not just because they work for the special events but they also guarantee lots of wear elsewhere. Thankfully the weddings have a relaxed but elegant vibe where anything starting from boho chic is acceptable. However, wedding season economics means I need to see if I can get through the summer and make these three outfits work with one bag. Challenge on!
Firstly let’s get a sneak peek of the outfits (ignore the footwear featured)! As you can tell I love for a colour block, maybe because I’m not so great at picking out a print and I love to balance out an element of shape at the waist with flowing lines. You have a blue dress from Whistles, a black jumpsuit from Mint Velvet, and a halter neck top and wide trousers from Me + Em.

Let’s just remind ourselves of the challenge – a limited bag budget. Basically, can one bag work with all three outfits to protect my future cash flow? Good news, the shortlist is full of well-priced but fashion-orientated brands. And with a filter on for clutches, shoulder bags, and handbags only (as these are the best styles for dressy outfits), here’s how the bag shopping went.
In no particular order, my top 10 fashion bags to accessorise a wedding outfit. Which one would you choose?

And last but by no means least, from Massimo Dutti ⇓⇓⇓

There you have it, 10 budget fashion bags that can work with all three outfits. And if you are wondering what footwear will be worn, it will be the fail-safe neutral wedges, which are my trusted friends for walking over grass!
