Something for the weekend – the best from New York on instagram

It’s that time of the week where I give my roundup of the handbags that have caught my eye on instagram. And as this week has been New York Fashion Week – I’ve dedicated this post to the designers who have their history rooted in NYC!

With many to choose from, a lot of the designers have all been about the Autumn/Winter fashion shows.  The top 5 designers shortlisted here are those who haven’t forgotten our most pressing need in their insta feeds – bag inspiration for this Spring!

1  Let’s start with a casual crossbody oozing New York street style.  Hello Botkier!

This lovely structured bag isn’t in a colour trend that will take us from Spring to Summer but it’s a great bag to take us from Winter to Spring.  Love the top handle, flap and wide strap.  Sport it now!

Want to stand out? Belt your bag with the bold design from Boyy Boutique.

It’s in one of the key Spring/Summer colour trends – ice cream coloured pastels.  Keep your fashion trend front and centre!

3  Need to keep it neutral and with classic undertones?  Turn to Tory Burch.

Keeping it in the ice cream pastel palette this bag has all the touches to work with a casual or formal outfit.

When minimalist can be eye catching – meet Marc Jacobs!

Compact crossbody, in the pastel blue green palette to keep your Spring and Summer outfits fresh and bright.

5  Need more than one colour with your ice cream pastels?  Catch up with Coach!

Would love the Bowery bag to have an added bit of leather to the top of the chain strap for extra comfort but can’t resist the quilting and the pop of extra colour.

Before I leave you, the round up wouldn’t be complete without a check on Kate Spade.  Whilst Kate’s insta snaps this week are mainly from the Autumn/Winter collection (loving the fringed Sam bag in suede), it was great to see Isla Fisher sporting a fresh lemon colour bag, spot on for Spring and Summer.  To the Kate Spade team wishing you a year filled of happy 25th anniversary celebrations!
