Anyone else thinking that a saddle bag was last seen in the Wild West? Well my bag loving friends, the saddle bag is a welcome feature for Spring and Summer. The curved aesthetic of the bottom of the bag brings a refreshing shape to the crossbody and shoulder bag.
And the high street stores and designer brands have not disappointed on choice. If you were thinking I’ve got a list of bags in various tones of brown leather….nay! We have colour, twist on the shape and saddle bags for all budgets.
So if you are sitting comfortably (preferably not on a saddle and riding your 16+ hand four-legged friend) here’s your whistle stop tour of the various saddle bag inspired options to catch your eye for Spring/Summer 2018…

It would be thoughtless of me to sign off on this homage to the saddle bag without sharing the news that Dior is bringing back its saddle bag from 1990’s. Spotted on the recent catwalk showcasing the Autumn/Winter collection, the iconic Dior saddle shape with its pendant ‘D’ was spotted in lots of colour way.s. Get ready for this bag shape to stay with us for a while yet. Saddle up chaps!
