Looking at the stats, one of my most popular posts is the guide to the sales. I’m here to stop you being hypnotised by a double figure discount and buying an item that goes straight to the back of the closet, without even being worn. As some of the end of year sales are beginning to surface, I’m here to give you the top tips on what to look for in the New Year sales. First, a quick checklist of where to start:
Look out for the trends of the new season, in this case spring/summer ’20, and the trends to remember are:
- crochet or woven – the bags with the holes
- oversize – tote bags to make Mary Poppins jealous
- citrus colours – from lime to tangerine
- polka dots – go spotty on your accessories
- all over white – from head to toe including your bag
- neutral accents – if dots are too much, opt for tan bags
Keep these 6 styles front of mind as they work as a summary of the trends spotted on the spring and summer 2020 runways. And whilst you might think its impossible to buy a season early, let alone in the sales, take a look at what I’ve found in the sales already…
