Ah, what a relief, SS’23 bag trends are a delight as they are wonderfully straightforward. Black is back, which makes a change for spring and summer and denim bags make a return after a long absence, which will make sense once you’ve read up on the fashion trends of the season. But it’s not all black and blue.
The season of satin shimmer is here, so if you have a gold or silver bag, dust it off. And whilst there were some irreverent designs on the runway, from Gucci’s gremlins and Prada’s two triangle bags on one strap, there were two clear styles for SS’23, a shoulder bag fitting snuggly underarm and a top handle bag, small or larger tote in size. With the season to show off your waist and belly button, the crossbody bag was conspicuous by its absence.

With inspiration from the various designer runways for SS’23 the way to carry your bag comes with options. Choose from a shoulder bag that’s slim so it fits snuggly underarm (think back to the original Fendi baguette for inspiration) or a top handle bag, however small or large.
