Something for the weekend. The bags on insta this May

After a month of insta fashion feeds being full up of face mask production and inspirational quotes to navigate the crisis, fashion has taken a back seat. Now with lockdowns easing across the globe, thankfully for me, as a bag addict, the feeds are beginning to return with bag inspiration. Here are my 5 favourite bags on instagram this month.

Summer summer time!

Oversize totes are one of the key SS’20 trends and add the classic straw vibe, you have a fashionista’s summer all wrapped up in this bag. Head to Osprey of London to review their Raffia collection

Weave it baby!

Cashmere rose is one of many colour options for the Mini woven bag from Mlouye. Soft pink will always work in the summer but expect to see it in the winter – it was a popular colour for bags on the AW’20 catwalks with contrasting red outfits.

Box clever

If you want to think further than summer and invest in a designer bag that rocks an AW’20 trend, go for a box shaped bag. And this one from Globe Trotter is special as it is the result of a collaboration with the iconic British designer Paul Smith.

Red alert

Another bag that will rock your autumn and winter wardrobe is boxy and in a bright red hue, a key colour for the season. This is an eco, vegan friendly bag, called Mae from the label LaBante.

Chain mail

Last but by no means least, from Florian London, who bring a chic handbag with a signature chain accent which is bang on trend for AW’20. Other colours are available but this brown version in the Keo tote bag, is my favourite.
