Something for the weekend. Bags on insta this November

If you took some time out this month and tapped instagram for a scroll through your fashion newsfeed you’ll have noticed a colour theme emerging. This Sunday Special brings you the round up of the bags on instagram this month in all shades of blue, And if you’re up to speed on the colour themes for SS’21, you’ll be delighted to hear blue is firmly in the season’s fashion palette. So if you’re sitting comfortably, there’s a bag for every taste and style.

Crossbody style

Here’s nearly every shade of blue in different bags to throw over your shoulder:

Marc Cain from Germany has a quilted nylon bag. Quilted is one of the key looks for AW20.

Crosslow London offers the leather Mini Luna crossbody bag in various shades.

C Nicol from Scotland offers the Holly mini and maxi bucket bags in this deep blue, ideal for SS’21.

Marc Jacobs classic Snapshot bag is refreshed in an airbrush style which I couldn’t resist due the pastel mix, which will be spot on for SS’21.

Handheld happy

Top handle bags are a staple in any wardrobe.

Mlouye is routed in structural architecture and the strong lines of the Brick bag is in various shades of denim.

Michino Paris brings us the craft bag in wonderful Mediterranean hues. I’m waiting for this bag to be added to their e-shop.

Cambridge Satchel Co produces bags in a lovely soft blue, called French Grey. This bag is called the Sophie.

At Valextra a 1960’s classic returns in a smokey blue shade. Welcome back the Serie S Glossy mini bag.

For a night out

Whether its a formal night and you want a splash of colour against your LBD or something a bit more casual:

Sonia Rykiel has brought out a blue black version of the classic Le Copain bag with its chain strap – the strap is on trend for AW’20.

J&M Davidson from Notting Hill London has a winter capsule collection and the leather Carnival bag with fringe will turn heads at a party!

Delvaux, the heritage brand from Belgium has a Constellations collection bringing shimmer effect. This is the Messenger S pouch bag.

Bimba y Lola gives us a street style edge with the S two-tone pleated leather chain purse.

If you have never entertained a blue bag before, now’s the time for a rethink. It’s the colour that can take you from winter through to the end of the summer next year, offering plenty of opportunities to wear.
