Pretty in pastels on insta this month.

It’s not a surprise for fashion in pastels to appear in spring/summer. Last year we saw the resurgence of lilac accessories. Good news, this year, any hue of pastel will be on trend, as long as you co-ordinate with your outfit. And just like Max Mara who showed the leather bag in their SS21 fashion show, pretty does not mean small and discreet – this year any shape will go. Here are my five favourite pastel bags spotted on insta this month. Enjoy the inspiration from April.

Yes to yellow

From Wandler, the Lin bag in sunbeam shade has a distinctive shape in the form of a fortune cookie and the wings can be tucked in or pulled out for something a little roomier.

Bless the blues

Firstly from The Volon this is Cindy in pale blue. Another distinctive shape, this bag is inspired by Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage. The double chain strap is adjustable with a metal stopper to style the bag both in two lengths.

A second pastel blue caught my eye from the sustainable fashion accessories brand Bottletop. This is the maxi size of the popular Luciana bag; offering a little bit more space. Can be worn as a crossbody, over the shoulder or in the evening as an oversized clutch.

Presenting the pinks

From TL 180 we have a softer shaped bag, Le Fazzoletto, translated as the tissue bag with a knot detail on the strap. The colour is Rosa gum. The quality of this shoulder bag makes it work for both casual and special days out.

And for a complete set of different bag shapes, here’s a tall tote bag option from Fablou. The City bag is in a soft blush. This bag can carry a 15″ laptop, folders, a change of shoes! There’s a detachable safety pouch to secure keys and wallet.
