Something for the weekend is back after a long January. And instagram has been trawled to save you scrolling. Today’s Sunday Special are the bags spotted on insta this week that will rock a Spring fashion trend. Whilst all eyes may be on New York Fashion Week with AW19 previews, let’s give a nod to the 5 handbag designers whose SS19 collections are arriving online and in-store NOW!
Live the coral
If you’re not up to speed on the colour palette for SS19, don’t fear, Bagwhispers is here with the list of colour trends. Look out for corals and and fresh yellows. On this front Mansur Gavriel is the answer to your prayers. The MG Pleated Bucket bag comes in both shades.
Now. personally I can’t bear a bucket bag – I always find myself with a hand swirling around inside trying to reach for my keys! However, I respect that the bucket bag is a featured shape this year and I love the pleats detail. Thanks MG!
Golden brown texture like sun
If you didn’t see last month’s post which celebrates the brown bags for SS19 (and a classic tune from The Stranglers) here are two sized bags that have this hue covered; a mini handbag for a formal event or a larger tote bag for corporate days – a great accent for a trench coat.
Firstly from Little Liffner, this mini handbag offers vintage styling with a modern twist. Say hello to Mademoiselle!
How about a larger bag that still oozes structure and clean lines? From Mute Muse, the Magazine bag can be found in truffle as its brown shade. Don’t forget to opt for one of the wide strap options.
Weave me this summer
Woven bags are very much a feature for SS19 with lots of options in both straw and rattan. Mehyr Mu is all over the rattan with many styles. However, the Mini Fey has the top handle and longer strap for hand and shoulder carrying options. The denim option is so on trend with the pale washed jean shade.
Mixin’ the colours
To round up this weekend’s five favourite bags, we must return to the new colour hues for SS19. There are around 12 to pick from but there are three colours that range from hibiscus red through to mango tones. So opt for an orange shade that falls in the middle of this specturm and provide a zesty accent to your outfit How about a mini trapezoid satchel from Matter Matters?
There you have it, 5 designers that are inspiring us this week on instagram with bags to rock the SS19 fashion trends.
Hope you’re having a great weekend! Keep up to date here as more SS19 collections become available.
