Never a frown with golden brown

So sang The Stranglers! And this spring and summer you need to get your golden brown on and any other shade from a creamy beige to dark tan. This is the colour to accessorise one of the key fashion trends for women this year.

Don’t just take my word for it; the colour experts Pantone mark the spectrum of neutrals for your wardrobe, from creams to chocolate. Vogue identified the beige look as its first of 12 trends for the season. The best way to accent your head to toe beige look is with golden brown shoes or handbag.

To give you inspiration, my ‘something for the weekend’ features 10 favourtie brown bags spotted on instagram just in the last week. The designers are filling their feeds with bags to catch your eye. And you’re in for a treat as the designers are providing us with a range of shapes, from the highly structured Alice bag from Staud to the popular bucket bag, the Bonsai from Simon Miller.

So if you are sitting comfortably, here are the 10 brown bags for your perusal.

1 From here in London, De Mellier, this mini Venice bag in suede. Feeling a casual weekender bag coming on – this will do nicely!
