It’s a wicker world. Hello summer holidays!

You don’t have to travel far to stumble upon one of the bag trends of SS’19. It’s the woven or plaited bag and every designer and shop has a style to tempt you. I kid you not; you’re spoilt for choice from Chanel to ASOS. Here are my top woven bags for SS’19. Don’t delay, get your weave on!

Big budgets

From the catwalks, check out these designers’ offeirngs; from left to right; Marques Almeida straw shoulder bag @£565; Chanel small vanity box bag @£6700 and from Mark Cross, the Benchley Rattan bag @ £1995.

Brilliant white

You know it’s summer when the white bags come out. Check out these beauties with cut out designs and woven artistry! From left; Mango laser cut white design bag @£59.99, Kate Spade NY offers the taller Dorie bucket bag @£595 and the fabulous large tote, the fringe Neeson bag from Anya Hindmarch @£1695.

Colour accents

With a weave bag you don’t have to go with one colour; compliment the neutral fibres with an accent of colour; from the left, Dune brings us the Dathryn basket grab bag in a brown or white flap and handle @ £70; from Mehyr Mu, the rattan collection is gorgeous and they nail this look with the Mini Fey in the denim shade of SS19 as the accent @£365. And last but by no means least, from Paris, La Minaudiére leather and raffia box bag from Perrin @£1150.

Keeping it neutral and under £100!

Hit two fashion trends for SS19 in one bag; neutral brown tones and a weave! From the left; top marks to Zara with the fringe embellishment on this XXL tote bag @£29.99; from Mango the round bamboo bag @£49.99 and from ASOS the structured basket bag @£35.

And for just for fun!

If you want to stand out from the crowd, I’ll leave you with these two bags that just say ‘hello world, look at me’. Be snapped or snap up the Rose Camera bag from Kate Spade NY @£295 or bag a bargain at Zara in the colourful raffia crossbody bag @£49.99.

There you have it, my something for the weekend!  However, if you aren’t sold on the weave, take a look at the other SS’19 fashion and bag trends:

Happy perusing!
